‘Curley Chalker In Concert’

This video concert was completed from 2 performances that were held in December of 1986, about 2 weeks apart.

The first was recorded in Ontario, California at The California Country Club. The second was done in St. Louis at Scotty’s Christmas party.

The California band is Johnny Davis on guitar, Jim Bob Sedgewick on bass and John Mauceri on drums. The St. Louis concert features Bobby Caldwell on guitar, Russ Wever on bass and Jimmy Queen on drums.

This video was filmed in a relaxed atmosphere in Hendersonville, TN in 2001. Produced by Steel Guitarist JIM VEST, it features DON HELMS, STU BASORE, TOMMY WHITE and JIM VEST. They sit around the room behind their guitars and chat about sessions, experiences and play some of their most famous licks, intros, and turnarounds from their recordings. They also do a tribute to Steel Guitar Hall of Fame member, now deceased, JIMMY DAY. A great addition to your steel guitar video collection!

Recorded Live June 8th, 1986 In Concert At The Clarion Hotel After One Of Buddy’s Teaching Seminars. The Band Consisted Of BOBBY CALDWELL On Guitar, RUSS WEVER On Bass And JOHN DIMARTINO On The Drums. This Left A Lot Of Room For Buddy And Bobby To ‘Turn Loose’ And Play The Tunes From ‘Off The Top Of Their Heads’. Pure  Spontaneous Combustion
