to play scales, melody patterns, major & seventh chord & fills, plus
playing back-up behind a singer showing where to play chords, and the right
time to play the fills.
This is a progressive course with follow-ups coming covering the 'D' knee

'Up From The Top E9th
- Book 2 - The "D" Lever'
(Lowering the 4 & 8 strings)
Part 2 of this progressive course introduces the common uses of the
"D" Lever. Learning to think in patterns is the key to quick results.
We don't learn "licks", we learn to think in
what we call "pockets". The "D" Lever opens up the whole
neck, left & right, and creates that fluid flow of notes that everyone
recognizes as pedal steel guitar. Jeff has written out three distinct patterns
of three notes in each one. You will learn to tie several pockets together in
this course These pockets will show you how to play
scale notes. Everything is played in the key of "F", so if you play
all that you see in this course, you will know the "F" scale
painlessly, then simply transpose them for use in the other keys.
Tab Book, DVD, & Audio CD - $69.00
'Up From The Top E9th
- Book 3 - The F Lever'
(Raising the 4th & 8th

obtained with the "F" Knee Lever.
Taking the knowledge gained from Part 1 & 2 of this series, Jeff
introduces multiple ways to play 'The E to B Chord Progression' & 'The
Scale Chord Progression'. Using 3 familiar tunes, "Blue Eyes Crying In The
Rain", Crying My Heart Out Over You" & "Silver Wings",
Jeff illustrates various ways to play these tunes, working the pockets,
building fill-ins, etc.
