(Lowering the 4 & 8 strings)

Part 2 of this progressive course introduces the common uses of the "D" Lever. Learning to think in patterns is the key to quick results. We don't learn "licks", we learn to think in what we call "pockets". The "D" Lever opens up the whole neck, left & right, and creates that fluid flow of notes that everyone recognizes as pedal steel guitar. Jeff has written out three distinct patterns of three notes in each one. You will learn to tie several pockets together in this course These pockets will show you how to play scale notes. Everything is played in the key of "F", so if you play all that you see in this course, you will know the "F" scale painlessly, then simply transpose them for use in the other keys.
