EDITORS NOTE: Bob's new CD "Nouveau Steel', is a refreshing approach to jazz being played on the Pedal Steel Guitar. Tunes include: Night In Tunisia, 9 To 6, Third Insight, Ghosting In Swingville, Michel's Mood, There's Bidou, Chicken Shack, Docteur Steve, Sonnymoon For Two.

Nominated by the Canadian Country Music Association for Steel Guitar Player of the Year.
1991
Member of the Québec City based Cajun-Zydeco band "Josephine".
Appeared at the Mariposa Folk Festival.
Also toured Europe and the United States playing various Folk Festivals.
1988
Played the Ottawa Jazz Festival.
1984-87
Composer, producer and arranger for BBC Television, England.
Played the Wigan and Birmingham Jazz Festival in England.
Recorded a country and jazz-funk album in Manchester, England.
1980-84
Member of the Terry Carisse Band. Toured all over Canada.
Over the years, Bob Taillefer has also produced and played on numerous recording sessions on both sides of the Atlantic ocean. Since 1989, he has played off & on with Country recording artist, Anita Perras.
Favourite players include Buddy Emmons, Paul Franklin & John Hughey.
