This box installs between the power amp output
& the speaker to give you a XLR line out to a mixing console, reproducing
the same sound as putting a mic on the speaker, but with no signal bleeding, or
mic stand clutter, etc. It can also double as a headphone output, (eliminating
the amp’s speaker sound)…very useful for tuning or practicing!

The
Amplifier Head 200 is now available with an optional all tube preamp. Artists
will discover all the familiar front panel controls: Master, Reverb, Bass,
Depth, Body, Expand, Treble, and Volume with easy to read and adjust knobs.
These controls deliver the tonal adjustability & clarity that top
musicians depend on. Other features include: +6dB and Normal inputs, effects
loop, headphone and external speaker capability, and preamp output. NEW
reverb effects include: Reverb alone, Flange & Reverb, or Chorus &
Reverb. Also, a new Dwell control allows you to adjust the desired amount of
layout for the selected reverb effect. Also,
all the power amps are 200 watts, & are switchable between 115V &
230V, so they can be used ‘world-wide’, simply by changing the power cord plug
to suit the country where it is being used.
Evans Custom Amplifiers has been
blessed with over 40 years of continuously building great amps by closely
following the vision of our founder and current chief consultant, Jim Evans.
Now, you can easily experience the uncluttered sound that has made Evans Amps
the pinnacle of clean amplification worldwide. Order Today. Operating Controls NORMAL AND +6Db INPUTS: +6Db provides the most volume with a heavier amplified sound. Use Normal Input with strong pickups to avoid overdriving the preamp. (+6Db = Input 1 and Normal = Input 2 on older models). Located on top front panel. MASTER: Used to set the output gain of the preamp. On newer models the convenient on/off switch on this knob requires the first part of the control. So, don't be afraid to turn it from 3 to 7. Located on top front panel. BUFF: This solid state preamp control provides beautiful overtones found in tube amplifiers. Start with Buff on 4 to 6. Next, use your ear to adjust the Treble then the Expand switch. Located on top front panel. (Models made before 2004 had the Scruff control which warmed the sound while cutting some of the highs and was not recommended for Pedal Steel Guitar.) REVERB: This control mixes in the amount of reverb effect desired. Digital reverb now standard on Evans Amplifiers. Located on top front panel. REVERB SELECTION: A rear panel switch selects Reverb alone, Reverb plus Flange, or Reverb plus Chorus. (Currently unavailable with Solid State AH200.) DWELL: This rear panel control sets room size or reverb interval. The Dwell control has a convenient center detent value sufficient for most musicians. (Currently unavailable with Solid State AH200.) BASS: Sets the amount of bass desired. The maximum Bass should be dialed in by playing the lowest open string and turning up the knob from 0 until it gets boomy and then backing off by a number. Turn down the Bass to 5 or less when using +6Db Input with Master greater than 6 or Normal Input with Master greater than 7. If the Bass knob is turned up while playing at loud volume, the low end will be overcompensated and muddy because bass frequencies are easier to reproduce at loud volumes. Located on top front panel. DEPTH: This control enhances the low and low midrange. Counterclockwise to 7 o'clock is off. Turn to 7 o'clock - 12 o'clock when Master is greater than 5 in +6Db Input or 7 with Normal Input. Body knob must be set > 1 for best Depth operation. Located on top front panel. BODY: Used to set the amount of midrange and darkness, this is a multi-function control that increases low mid-range tones while rolling off high frequencies. Located on top front panel. EXPAND: This switch boosts the highs, and some lows. Up is on, down is off. Located on top front panel. TREBLE: Selects the amount of treble desired. On new models the Treble should be dialed in by playing the highest open string and turning up the knob from 0 until it gets thin and then backing off by a number. The most solid Treble sound is 0-2. Located on top front panel. VOLUME: Sets the input level to the pre-amp. Lower settings (3-5) reflect the instrument's voice. Higher settings (6-9) emphasize the amplifier's tone settings. Located on top front panel. EFFECTS OUT AND IN (SEND AND RETURN): These jacks are located on the top back panel and placed in the circuit just before the Master level control and after all frequency adjustments and reverb. Most effects units should be connected here. However, some effects units may operate better connected between the instrument and Normal Input. PREAMP OUT: This is a line out signal for driving a mixer board or an additional power amplifier. (1/4" jack available) Located on top back panel. EXTERNAL SPEAKER: The output is used for driving an additional 8 ohm speaker. Located on bottom back panel. PHONES: Jack for headphones. Located on bottom back panel. Direct

of High Performance Modifications Of
Steel Guitar amps Since 1992 Now available in Canada,
from Steel Guitars of Canada John
LeMay's 'Miracle Audio' has over 6 years of satisfied customers including
Tommy White, Rufus Thibodeaux, Robby Turner, Bruce Bouton, George Edwards, Al
Brisco, Joe Rogers, Larry Behm, Keith Holter, Jerry Gleason, & more. What
is the 'Mod'? To
achieve the high performance that the "Super Mod" modification
brings to Peavey amps, the signal is cleaned up while the harshness
and distortion are eliminated. The
'Mod' adds dramatically better transient response and greatly decreases
noise. The result is a transparent, smooth, clean sound with added sustain,
tight bottom and silky highs. The 3rd & 4th strings don't "stick
out" anymore. The tone is balanced across the neck. Greatly increased
string separation allows complex chordal passages with all of the counterpoint
to be heard clearly. Upper harmonics are heard easily and the cleanliness of
the signal is superlative. Players have reported nearly doubled sustain. The
modification is designed to be extremely road worthy. Any component
technician can service the unit should that ever be necessary. There are no
special add-on boards to worry about, no widgets to break and leave you
stranded. All mods are done within the constraints of the original
construction to maximize dependability. What
amps can be modified? We
only have LeMay kits remaining for the following Peavey amps: Nashville 400,
Vegas 400, Session 500, The Session 400 Limited (post 1987). Customer's
comments about the 'mod'.... John...The first amp you did
for me was super, the best I've ever heard. I'm getting ready to send you the
second amp probably this week. I'm looking forward to the second amp as I'm
sure it will be as good or better than the first. I've had nothing but great
comments and praise on the first amp that you did for me. Thanks Again! George Edwards Kitty Wells Show,
Nashville, TN "I have the first SUPER MOD. Clean and clear,
in your face real steel tone finally. I am a tone freak pure and simple. I
don't make one penny from John...I was just the first to do it. I would spend
the money again. This is clean, like no other amp you have ever heard. If any
of you have any questions, call me at 503-786-4460. You have nothing to lose
and everything to gain." Larry
Behm Hi John, I got the Session 500 Super
Mod kit in Friday's mail. The kit was extremely easy to install, given your
very clear instructions. I took my time, and everything went well. Then I sat
down to play, and wow!! It's everything they claim it to be! I feel as if I
have a new amplifier! The tone is terrific, and I seem to have much more
gain. I typically use a Goodrich Steel Driver II, and the system even sounds
great without it now. I'm just so pleased!! Best Regards, Don Walters, Regina, SK John, I am very pleased with my
Nashville amp...it has never sounded so good. The increase in gain is a much
welcomed improvement. The bright switch feature is the icing on the cake. I
am glad there is someone who cares enough about tone to take the time and
trouble to develop such a wonderful process. Keep up the good work. Jackie Harmon, Sherman, TX Products & Services Offered The Super Mod Kit It's for the purist, who wants the best
his amp can deliver. The Super Mod delivers the ultimate in steel sound. It
gives you tremendous string separation, over-tones and harmonics you've never
been able to hear before. No more harsh tone. Just pure sweetness...with
punch! These kits include all of the parts
needed to modify your amp for maximum performance. Included are diagrams,
instructions and trouble shooting techniques. These kits require a basic
skill in soldering and unsoldering. Ideal for the home electronics hobbyist
with a basic degree of skill. Average time to do an amp mod is about 3
- 4 hours, depending on skill level. Costs
